Cold

I can not park my van in the garage until I get rif of mattress and box spring that we don’t need.  Well guess what??  This morning I went out to my van and there was ice on it.  It was stinking cold out and I wasn’t about to scrape the ice off.  So what did I do?  Started the van and let nature run it’s course!!

Was it cold @ your house this AM?

Over the coming days, weeks and moths I will try to share at least one post a day on LPC.

Life Point Church Coming Soon!!

This is the first of many posts to introduce you to Life Point Church.  This is a new church plant coming to the Hamilton Mill area in 2009.  We have  a great Lead Team with our Lead Pastor and Worship Leader having planted a great church in West Virginia and following the leading of God to come here and do the same.  Chrissie and I are part of that Lead Team, Chrissie is the Director Of Children’s Ministry and I have Media and Youth as my area of ministries.

We are planning our first preview service for either January or Feb 2009 with a complete launch in the Fall with a hugh kickoff!!  We are already planning for a awesome 2009 and even better 2010 as we know God will bless us as we win this area for his Kingdom!

Steve Brown and the North Georgia Church of God State Office are giving us 110% of their support and resources.  Steve is going to be pouring everything he has into us and we can’t wait.  If you are in this area or know someone in this area that would like to be part of this plant please leave a comment and I will get back with you.

Stay tuned for more exciting info about Life Point Church!

Kentucky Football & ESPN2

Last night I watched the Kentucky & Tennessee football game on ESPN2.  Or should I say the Phil Fulmer channel.   During the game ESPN2 loved, kissed, cuddled and married Phil Fulmer.  You would have thought that the channel was ran by the school.  At halftime they interviewed Coach Fulmer, at the start of the 2nd half Coach Brooks was not interviewed but got a quick mention.  I can honestly say I was disgusted by the bias that ESPN2 showed during the game.

Thanksgiving Wrap Up

This has been a different Thanksgiving for our entire family.  It was the first Thanksgiving without my grandmother.  It was our first Thanksgiving not being with Chrissie’s family.  It was our first Thanksgiving in our new house and the first time we have had company, my parents were here for the weekend.  Here are some thoughts from the weekend:

  • Chrissie and Mom did a great job on the dinner
  • We ate way too much
  • The weather was awesome, we sat outside most of the afternoon
  • Bass Pro Shops on Thanksgiving Day is crazy
  • Lake Lanier Chritmas Lights are a must see
  • It was great to have company
  • We ate way too much

What was the best part of your Thanksgiving weekend?

Christmas Tree Is Up

Well we finally did it.  We put up our tree on Friday night and finished the rest of the decorations on Saturday.  It’s great to have it all done and it looks great!!  It’s wonderful to have such a beautiful house and a wife that loves to decorate it and keep it looking the way it does.  The kids love the tree and the lights.  While putting up the tree we started a new tradition by making our own ornaments which was a blast!

When did you put your tree up?

Saying Goodbye??

When leaving a chruch or a job when is the best time to say goodbye?  How do you say goodbye?  Do you keep ties with someone from the church?  How do you let your kids stay in touch with friends from the church?

These are some thoughts i have right now that I am trying to deal with.  Any thoughts??
